Job Description

We are the Workplace Engineering team. We create the enterprise environments within the ecosystem of ServiceNow. As a Workplace Engineering team, we build, configure, and manage applications and workflows that optimize physical and digital work environments

This position requires passing a ServiceNow background screening, USFedPASS (US Federal Personnel Authorization Screening Standards). This includes a credit check, criminal/misdemeanor check and taking a drug test. Any employment is contingent upon passing the screening. Due to Federal requirements, only US citizens, US naturalized citizens or US Permanent Residents, holding a green card, will be considered.

  • Build and innovate new features for WSD (Workplace Service Delivery), delivering solutions that enhance physical and digital work environments.
  • Drive customer success by supporting customers during case-related activities, implementations, and go-live events.
  • Maintain and support deployed services by addressing vulnerabilities, ensuring security, stability, and ongoing reliability.
  • Build, configure, and manage applications and workflows that optimize physical and digital work environments.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-quality software solutions that improve enterprise workflows and user experiences.
  • Partner with product owners and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver reliable, customer-focused solutions.
  • Build clean, reusable, and maintainable code by following software engineering best practices, including code reviews, unit testing, and test automation.
  • Design software that is extensible and configurable, enabling customers to customize workflows and meet their unique business needs.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features while enhancing and supporting existing applications.
  • Mentor team members and foster a culture of collaboration, technical excellence, and knowledge sharing.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance application performance, scalability, and reliability across enterprise environments.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

  • Experience leveraging or critically evaluating how AI can be integrated into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This includes using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's impact on the business or industry.
  • 8+ years of experience with Java or a similar object-oriented programming language.
  • Passion for JavaScript/TypeScript, the web platform, reusability, and component-based development.
  • Experience with data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance and scalability considerations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and software design skills.
  • Experience with modern UI frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, including development, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes is a plus.

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $166,500 - $291,400, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
