Job description

Job Summary:
Advanced Tech Placement is seeking a Sr. Platform Engineer (Websphere/Weblogic) to design, develop, and maintain digital technology infrastructure. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement features, upgrade platforms, and troubleshoot complex issues.
Responsibilities:
• Designs and develops high-quality software solutions by writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Leads the application of internal software deployment platform, continuous integration or continuous delivery pipeline, and twelve-factor development methodology to automate the deployment process, ensuring smooth and reliable releases.
• Partners with a cross-functional team of product managers, designers, and other engineers to gather complex requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Writes and maintains complex unit tests and integration tests, and performs debugging to maintain the quality and performance of the software, applying test-driven development as needed.
• Recommends options for improving the software development and deployment processes, and implements the approved standards to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation for complex software applications, deployment processes, and system configurations.
• Provides technical support and troubleshooting for complex issues with deployed applications to ensure minimal downtime and fast resolution.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 5-7 years of relevant experience.
• Weblogics

• Automation and Scripting and CI/CD integration
Preferred:
• Deep expertise in IBM WebSphere and/or Oracle WebLogic administration, including clustering, performance tuning, and secure configurations.
• Strong knowledge of web hosting technologies (Apache, IIS) and reverse proxy/load balancing (IBM HTTP Server, Oracle HTTP Server, NGINX or equivalent).
• Experience with automation and scripting (wsadmin, WLST, Python, Shell) and integration with CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with security best practices, SSL/TLS, authentication (LDAP, SSO), and compliance standards.
• Proficiency in monitoring and performance optimization using tools like AppDynamics or Datadog.
• Exposure to cloud hosting and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for middleware workloads.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to lead complex platform initiatives.
