Senior IT Project Manager (3-year limited term)

A leading nonprofit and cultural organization based in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to support transformative digital initiatives that enhance engagement, accessibility, and customer experiences. Role Summary

The Senior IT Project Manager will lead complex, cross-functional technology initiatives that support digital engagement, customer experience, content management, fundraising, and enterprise platform modernization. Based in Los Angeles, CA, this role will partner with business and technology leaders to deliver high-impact projects from discovery through implementation, ensuring alignment across stakeholders, vendors, and project teams. This is a three-year limited-term position.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, reporting, and closure.
  • Manage multiple concurrent technology projects with complex dependencies and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Coordinate digital transformation initiatives involving customer engagement platforms, content management systems, fundraising technologies, and digital experience solutions.
  • Facilitate governance, steering committee, and stakeholder discussions to support alignment and decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, status reports, and project documentation.
  • Partner with business leaders, technical teams, vendors, and subject matter experts to drive successful outcomes.
  • Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address issues and escalations.
  • Monitor project financials and ensure adherence to approved budgets and resource plans.
  • Support organizational change management efforts to encourage adoption and project success.
  • Deliver executive-level presentations and communications regarding project status, progress, and recommendations.

Additional Details

  • Hybrid work environment; approximately one onsite day per week, with additional onsite attendance based on project requirements
  • Three-year limited-term assignment
  • Opportunity to work on digital signage, customer engagement, fundraising technology, web platform, and digital experience initiatives
  • Collaborate with executive stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners on high-visibility projects

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of project management experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives
  • 2+ years of experience managing enterprise software, CRM, CMS, customer engagement, marketing technology, or digital transformation projects
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale digital experience or visitor/customer engagement initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation abilities
  • Experience managing technology vendors, contracts, and third-party partners
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, Workfront, or similar platforms

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)

  • PMP certification or formal Project Management certification
  • Experience within nonprofit, higher education, cultural institution, foundation, or mission-driven organizations
  • Background supporting donor management, fundraising platforms, CRM implementations, or content management systems
  • Experience with digital signage programs or customer-facing digital experiences
  • Knowledge of change management principles and organizational adoption strategies
  • Experience working with enterprise web applications and digital engagement platforms
  • Ability to navigate complex organizations and influence stakeholders at multiple levels of leadership

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $118,000 - $150,000
