Job description

First Merchants Bank is seeking a Senior Digital Platform Manager to join our team! This position is responsible for managing the lifecycle of assigned digital platforms and products, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and delivering exceptional client experiences. This role supports the development and execution of platforms roadmaps, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and drives initiatives that enhance digital capabilities across the omnichannel experience in alignment with the LOB objectives. The Senior Digital Platform Manager will be a SME on the digital platform, advocate for client needs, and drive the execution of continuous improvements of digital solutions for the consumer bank.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Manage assigned digital platforms, including roadmap development, feature prioritization, and lifecycle planning. Conduct ROI analysis, market research, and business case development for platform enhancements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve client experience through digital solutions; Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to support campaigns and training that drive platform adoption.
  • Partner with IT, Operations, Compliance, and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of platform initiatives.
  • Support vendor relationships and contribute to contract reviews and roadmap alignment for assigned platforms.
  • Monitor platform performance metrics and user feedback to inform enhancements. Report findings and performance to key stakeholders.
  • Track KPIs and report on progress toward strategic goals. 
  • Recommend and implement process enhancements that improve efficiency and reduce friction in digital experiences.
  • Develop, publish, and maintain product documentation, training materials, and supporting artifacts.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned platforms. 
  • Ensure platform initiatives comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies; Partner with Risk and Compliance teams to assess and mitigate risks.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies, including AI, to identify future opportunities.

To be successful in this position, we require the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field OR an associate degree/two years of college + two (2) years of related work/military experience ­OR four (4) years of related work/military experience (plus any additional required experience). 
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in product management, project management, business analysis, project coordination, operations, or related roles.
  • Relevant certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Six Sigma, or Agile (e.g., Certified Product Owner, Scaled Agile Framework, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to distill complex information into actionable insights.
