Job description

Position Summary

The Digital Marketing Assistant supports the Digital Experience team with the day-to-day upkeep of CJ Foodville's digital guest experience — the mobile app, website, loyalty program, local business listings, and third-party delivery platforms. This is an entry-level role designed for someone early in their career who wants hands-on exposure to digital marketing, loyalty, and restaurant technology.

Working under the direction of the Digital Program Manager and the Jr. Analyst, Loyalty & Marketing, the Assistant helps set up and test campaigns, keeps digital content accurate, gathers data for reports, and flags issues to the team. Work is assigned and reviewed by the team, with training provided. We're looking for someone organized, curious, and detail-oriented — prior full-time experience is not required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily upkeep of the mobile app, website, loyalty platform, and third-party delivery channels.

• Help set up and test promotional campaigns, loyalty offers, push notifications, and promo codes, with review by the Digital Program Manager prior to launch.

• Perform quality assurance (QA) testing across digital platforms using provided test checklists, and document what you find.

• Update and maintain digital content — menus, pricing, product descriptions, images, and store information.

• Assist with routine audits to confirm content and pricing match across App, Web, Loyalty, and Third-Party Delivery.

• Support new store onboarding by completing platform setup steps and launch-readiness checks.

• Identify, document, and escalate customer-facing digital issues to the appropriate team member.

• Compile data and build recurring reports on app usage, loyalty engagement, and campaign performance.

• Help keep local business listings and website location information accurate, and assist with SEO-related updates requested by the team or agency partners.

Key Tasks

1. App Customer Experience Support

Support internal teams, franchise locations, and external customer service by investigating app-related issues, coordinating resolutions, communicating updates, and helping ensure a seamless customer experience.

2. Content Accuracy & Upkeep

Keep menu content, pricing, product information, and store details current and consistent across all customer-facing digital channels.

3. Testing, Listings & Reporting

Run routine platform testing, help audit local business listings, document issues clearly, and pull the data the team uses for weekly and monthly reporting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Information Systems, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience. Zero to two years of professional experience. Internships, co-ops, campus work, freelance projects, and relevant coursework count toward this requirement. We do not expect candidates to have held a full-time role in digital marketing before — but strong and relevant internship and/or work experience is mandatory for this position.

Skills

• Strong attention to detail and organizational habits and comfortable juggling several small tasks and deadlines at once. Clear written and verbal communication.

• Backend experience with third-party delivery platforms such as DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub a plus; backend experience managing POS systems a plus.

• Web design experience with HTML and CSS is a huge plus, along with an understanding of digital marketing fundamentals.

• Comfortable working with data and spreadsheets with exposure to Data Science Formulas (V-Lookup, Pivot Tables).

• Previous experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

• Collaborative, coachable, and willing to ask questions.

Nice to Have (Not Required)

• An internship or coursework in digital marketing, CRM, web, or advertising — agency internships are a plus.

• Exposure to restaurant, QSR, retail, or eCommerce environments, including part-time or hourly roles — restaurant management and POS backend experience a huge plus.

• Familiarity with any content management, loyalty, email, or campaign platform.

What You'll Learn

• How a national loyalty program and mobile ordering platform are run day to day.

• Hands-on training in campaign setup, QA, digital content management, and local SEO.

• A path toward Digital Experience Specialist or Analyst roles as your scope and independence grow.

Employee Benefits

• Med/Den/Vis/Life Insurance (100% Company Covered) from Day 1

• Short Term and Long-Term Disability Leave (short term 100% covered)

• 401(k) Company Match

• Life allowance Reimbursements (Monthly)

• Employee Discounts (40% off CJ products & services)

• Paid Time Off (generous and increases by tier!)

• Paid Creative Leave (up to 4 weeks specified on years of service)

• Paid Holidays (11 days)

• Employee Club Activities (movie, e-sports, book, sports activity club, etc.)
