Job description

Do you have experience working with digital copiers? Do you have good math skills and an eye for detail? Do you want to put your experience and skills to work for an established and respected industry leader? If so, we’re looking for hard working and motivated candidates who are focused on teamwork and customer satisfaction. If you're looking for a rewarding career in the printing industry, not just another job, then come join our Production team as a Digital Copier Operator! As a Digital Copier Operator, your primary responsibility will be to produce all copy jobs in compliance with specifications and in accordance with company quality standards and procedures. You must meet customer time requirements while operating efficiently.

Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player who can work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment and who is determined to make every project his or her absolute best. He or she must have an understanding of digital copiers, including their functions and processes, an aptitude for math and a strong attention to detail, and the ability to read and follow instructions for machine set-up and maintenance. Candidates must be able to work in an environment that includes exposure to ink and chemical fumes, airborne particles (dust, drying powder, etc.), and loud noise levels and must be able to move freely throughout the center and stand for long periods of time.

RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Produces digital copy jobs
  • Schedules jobs by due dates indicated or as requested by management
  • Calls for copier maintenance when necessary and notifies management
  • Sends monthly copier usage log to vendor
  • Operates all equipment in accordance with equipment operating procedures
  • Performs maintenance per the guidelines on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
  • Communicates with other employees and/or the customer for a complete understanding of the copy order
  • Performs troubleshooting of the equipment when necessary
  • Orders and stocks inventory and supplies at the direction of management
  • Rejects poor quality or incorrect jobs and notifies management
  • Finishes jobs according to the work order as needed and when appropriate
  • Follows systems and procedures according to the company manuals

QUALIFICATIONS   

  • An understanding of digital copiers, their functions and processes
  • Good math skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to follow written instructions for machine set-up and maintenance
  • Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be willing and able to work in an environment that includes exposure to ink and chemical fumes, airborne particles (dust, drying powder, etc.), and loud noise levels
  • Must be able to move about freely through the center in order to work with other team members and accomplish tasks
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
