Job description

Lumen is the trusted network for the AIpowered world, connecting people, data, and applications through our expansive fiber network and connected ecosystem. We enable secure, highperformance connectivity across cloud, edge, and AI workloads for enterprises, governments, and communities.

At Lumen, you'll work on infrastructure customers rely on today and build for what's next, where performance, security, and resilience matter.

This is a high accountability environment where bold ideas drive real innovation for our customers, partners, and industry. The work is challenging, expectations are clear, and trust is built into how we operate. If you're ready to take ownership, deliver meaningful impact, and help shape the future of AIready connectivity, join us today.

The Role

We're looking for a Digital Experience Strategist to join our Web Experience team and shape how our B2B website is structured, navigated, and experienced by enterprise buyers. You'll shape the strategic layer of our site - from overall experience architecture and information design to dynamic content frameworks that adapt the journey based on who's visiting and why.

This role sits at the intersection of UX strategy, content architecture, and marketing technology. You'll partner closely with UX designers, researchers, demand generation, and web development to ensure our digital experience serves the complexity of an enterprise sales cycle - and evolves as our products, audiences, and goals change.

The Main Responsibilities
  • Experience Architecture
    • Define and maintain the overall experience architecture of our B2B marketing website - including site structure, navigation logic, page hierarchy, and cross-journey wayfinding.
    • Develop and govern experience frameworks that connect content, user flows, and buyer intent across the full funnel.
    • Identify structural gaps or friction points in the current site experience and lead strategic initiatives to address them.
    • Partner with UX designers to ensure architecture decisions translate into coherent, accessible, on-brand interactions.
  • Personalization & Dynamic Journeys
    • Design audience segmentation frameworks and dynamic content rules that power targeted, reactive user flows for key buyer segments.
    • Map personalized journeys by industry vertical, company size, job function, and funnel stage - balancing relevance with site coherence.
    • Own the configuration and governance of personalization tooling within our MarTech stack, including AEM and associated targeting platforms.
    • Run a continuous testing and optimization cadence - A/B and multivariate - translating results into strategic improvements.
  • Strategy & Measurement
    • Define KPIs for both structural experience quality and personalization effectiveness - including engagement, task completion, conversion lift, and pipeline influence.
    • Translate analytics, user research, and intent data into actionable roadmap recommendations.
    • Serve as a strategic thought partner to UX, content, demand gen, and sales on all things related to the digital buyer journey.
    • Communicate experience strategy clearly to leadership and stakeholders, including roadmaps, rationale, and performance reporting.
What We Look For in a Candidate
  • Required experience
    • 5+ years in digital experience strategy, UX strategy, or B2B web/demand generation roles
    • Demonstrated experience owning information architecture or site experience strategy at scale
    • Hands-on experience with personalization or testing platforms (Adobe Target, Optimizely, or similar)
    • Strong grasp of B2B buyer journeys, multi-stakeholder purchase dynamics, and enterprise marketing
    • Ability to document and communicate complex logic - rules, flows, content conditions - for both technical and non-technical audiences
    • Comfort working from both qualitative and quantitative inputs to shape strategy
  • Preferred:
    • Experience working within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), including content architecture, ContextHub, and Targeted Content
    • Familiarity with intent data platforms such as 6sense or Demandbase
    • Background in enterprise or networking/security-adjacent product marketing
    • Understanding of UX design principles and ability to participate meaningfully in design reviews
    • Experience with SEO strategy as it relates to site architecture and content hierarchy
    • Comfort working in lean, high-ownership teams with broad scope
