Digital Print Assistant - On Call

Title: Digital Print Assistant - On Call
Position Purpose:
The On-Call Digital Print Assistant provides critical operational support during high-volume periods, staff absences, and special campus events. This position oversees the daily on-demand intake, file preparation, production, finishing, and billing for college printing services in a fast-paced central print operation. This position will also assist in the Post Center when needed, providing excellent customer service with shipping and receiving.
Job Duties:
  • Provide excellent customer service to staff, faculty and students.
  • Assist in handling package pickup and drop-off within the Printing Center.
  • Operate production machines to support on-demand printing, copying, and special events projects.
  • Provide support to the printing team with finishes to products requested by customers.
  • Assist in the Post Center with shipping, receiving, and over-all customer service when needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Valid driver's license also required.
  • Associate degree, technical certification, or post-secondary training in Graphic Arts, Digital Publishing, or Print Production preferred.

Experience
  • Demonstrated track record of providing high-quality, customer-facing service in a fast-paced environment required.
  • Experience in print production, commercial finishing/cutting, and graphic arts preferred, or willingness and ability to learn on the job.
  • Some graphic design work a plus.

Skills and Knowledge
  • Commitment to equity and inclusion, and serving the needs of a culturally and educationally diverse community.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) and Enfocus PitStop. Working knowledge of Google Workspace a plus.
  • Ability to step into on-call shifts on short notice and rapidly jump into active production workflows with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional time management, prioritization, and task-tracking abilities.
