Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with Digital Analytics experience to lead the end-to-end design and development of solutions for collecting and managing digital and marketing clickstream data. This role requires a strong foundation in software engineering, automation, AI, and scalable data collection architectures.

The ideal candidate will have a solid software engineering background and deep expertise in digital data collection, third-party digital analytics platforms (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, etc.) and enterprise architecture. They should have experience designing and implementing clickstream data solutions that integrate with complex enterprise ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities
Establish and execute engineering objectives for digital analytics and tag management systems and CX platforms in alignment with business and technology strategies
Operate as a technical leader in designing, developing, implementing, and supporting scalable and reliable analytics engineering solutions that meet defined marketing and digital needs
Provide thought leadership in digital data collection, aligning strategies with business goals and enterprise technology standards
Work closely with cross-functional teams to bring solutions to life
Provide technical direction and guidance on architecture, design patterns, and engineering standards within the marketing and digital domains
Ensure engineering work adheres to best practices for quality, security, performance, and maintainability
Establish engineering best practices for mobile app analytics, data privacy, and testing automation
Conduct code reviews to provide guidance on on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures
Accountable to ensure all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices
Embraces emerging technology opportunities (such as automation, AI) and contributes to the best practices in support of the bank's technology transformation
Contributes to a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Five to six years of relevant experience

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of relevant analytics or tag management engineering experience
5+ years of JavaScript coding experience
5+ years experience with SQL or similar technologies
2+ years of experience with mobile app analytics across iOS and Android platforms, including familiarity with mobile marketing platforms such as AppsFlyer
2+ years experience with test automation, including the ability to design and maintain automated validation frameworks
Working knowledge of data privacy principles and regulatory considerations to support compliant data collection and usage
Strong understanding of software development processes, tools, and engineering best practices
Able to communicate processes and results with all parties involved in the product team, including engineers, product owner, scrum master, third party vendors and customers

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in financial services or other highly-regulated industries
Adept with Agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles
Experience with AdTech platforms and the related data flows

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. Pay Range: $119,765.00 - $140,900.00
