Job Description

The Advertising Operations Analyst is responsible for managing, growing, and improving job seeker traffic delivery in Appcastโ€™s employer business.

The individual will work with Product, Publisher Development, and Executive teams to provide insights on business and financial performance. The analyst will provide and act on recommendations to deliver more application volume, improve financial performance, and identify efficiency gains on internal processes.

Key responsibilities include partnering with Product to learn CPA, pacing, and quality algorithms, building new software to improve partner interactions, and collaborating with Business Development to understand partner marketplaces and secure quality traffic.

Job Responsibilities
  • Monitor the performance of the employer ad exchange, utilizing daily, weekly, and monthly reports to ensure financial goals are met and deliver as much application and hire value to the customer within budget.
  • Work independently with key job board partners to ensure customer goals and needs are met and drive improvements in the partner program by understanding available traffic, pricing algorithms, market dynamics, and sharing performance data.
  • Join meetings with Business Development and partners to learn how their job marketplaces work and share best practices across the industry to support partner growth in spend, application delivery, and hires.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce time for setting up new customers and increase financial performance of the Employer advertising business, expanding the number of campaigns an Account Manager and AdOps Analyst can support.
  • Partner crossโ€‘functionally with Product to investigate bugs and technical issues, and solve partnerโ€‘facing problems while building technical understanding of Appcastโ€™s product suite.
  • In some cases, interface with Finance and partners to manage COGS and accounts payable.
Qualifications
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Willingness to learn SQL or experience querying databases for analytical purposes.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
  • Constant curiosity, genuine interest in learning, and eagerness to solve problems.
  • Ability to lead special projects and complex accounts with minimal guidance from a manager or team leadership.
Education and Experience
  • Degree in Economics or Mathematics preferred but not required.
  • 2โ€“5 years of experience in a business environment.
Travel Requirements
  • Travel may include monthly visits to internal and external meetings, depending on business needs and opportunities.
Fair Labor Standards Act Status
  • Salaried Exempt: Personnel will earn their regular salary and are not entitled to overtime pay when working over 40 hours in a work week.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
