ABOUT THE ROLE
Amrize, a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a Equipment Operator to support operations at our Litteton Quarry location in Littleton, MA. This position will be responsible for operating and configuring multiple equipment. Also ensure that the machine works at its full capacity, oversee its maintenance, and perform timely quality checks.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
ย  ย Operate excavators to dig trenches, foundations, and other large-scale earthmoving tasks safely and efficiently.
ย  ย Load and unload materials such as soil, rocks, and debris using the excavator bucket.
ย  ย Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on the excavator to ensure optimal functioning.
ย  ย Collaborate with site supervisors and other crew members to coordinate excavation activities.
ย  ย Follow site plans, blueprints, and safety guidelines to complete excavation work according to project specifications.
ย  ย Monitor excavation sites for hazards and report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions immediately.
ย  ย Assist in backfilling and grading areas after excavation to prepare for construction or landscaping.
ย  ย Keep accurate logs of work performed, including hours operated and maintenance activities.
ย  ย Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
ย  ย Adhere to workplace safety guidelines, wear required PPE, and report hazards or incidents promptly.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
ย  ย Education: High school diploma or equivalent
ย  ย Required Work Experience: Minimum 2 years experience
ย  ย Proven experience operating excavators and other heavy equipment on construction or excavation sites.
ย  ย Strong understanding of excavation safety procedures and OSHA compliance standards.
ย  ย Safely maneuver around underground utilities and structures to avoid damage during digging operations.
ย  ย Use specialized excavator attachments (e.g., hydraulic breakers, thumbs, or augers) for diverse site needs.
ย  ย Assist with trench shoring and proper slope cutting to maintain safe excavation conditions.
ย  ย Communicate with spotters and ground crews using hand signals or radios to coordinate movement.
ย  ย Support site cleanup by loading materials into dump trucks and removing excess debris post-excavation.
ย  ย Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and grade stakes.
ย  ย Basic mechanical knowledge for performing routine equipment inspections and minor repairs.
ย  ย Physical stamina and strength to work in demanding outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
ย  ย Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness for precise equipment operation.
ย  ย Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
