Department of Radiology | College of Medicine | Little Rock, Arkansas

The Neuroradiology Division within the Department of Radiology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a full‑time faculty member with on‑site availability to join a dynamic, collegial, and growing academic Neuroradiology division in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Position Overview

We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible (ABR) neuroradiologist with fellowship training or strong expertise in neuroradiology. The ideal candidate is service-oriented with a collaborative mindset and a strong interest in clinical excellence, teaching, and practice growth within an academic environment.

Practice Environment

Our Neuroradiology Division includes eight neuroradiologists providing expertise in a wide breadth of neuropathology with studies provided by the varied specialists in neurosurgery, neurology, otolaryngology, neuro‑ophthalmology and spine. We also have a center of excellence in multiple myeloma. Overnight coverage is not required for this division; the Radiology Department has an Emergency Radiology Division which provides 24/7 coverage. In addition, our practice serves:

  • Major hospital systems and an expansive outpatient network
  • Arkansas's only adult and pediatric Level I Trauma Centers
  • A large and growing referral base from across the state and region

Clinical Responsibilities
  • Interpret a broad range of diagnostic imaging studies with an emphasis on:
  • Computed Tomography (CT)
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
  • Provide expertise in the university sponsored stroke program, neurooncology center and a long‑recognized world‑renowned myeloma institute
  • Provide advanced neuroimaging for comprehensive evaluation of brain tumors (MR perfusion/tractography and fMRI)
  • Perform advanced neurography of the brachial and lumbar plexus with STIR and diffusion
  • Provide comprehensive total body evaluation of myeloma patients with CT, MRI, total body PET and total body diffusion imaging
  • Collaborate with our interventional neuroradiology program and other neuroradiology faculty at our sister institutions at the VA Hospital and Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary conferences, tumor boards, and collaborative clinical discussions
  • Foster strong relationships with referring physicians across multiple specialties
  • Contribute to the growth and development of neuroradiology services
  • Participate in call rotations
