Purpose of the Role

The IT Director is responsible for providing strategic leadership, direction, and oversight of the organization's information technology function. This role ensures that IT systems, infrastructure, security, and initiatives align with business objectives and support operational efficiency, compliance, and long-term growth. The IT Director leads IT strategy, governance, budgeting, and team development while ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable technology solutions across the organization.


Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the organization's IT strategy aligned with business goals
  • Provide executive-level oversight of IT operations, systems, infrastructure, and cybersecurity
  • Lead, manage, and develop IT staff, including performance management and coaching
  • Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, standards, and governance
  • Manage IT budgeting, forecasting, and vendor relationships
  • Oversee IT projects to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
  • Ensure system reliability, disaster recovery, and information security
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements
  • Partner with leaders across departments to deliver effective technology solutions
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, audit, and ISO requirements


Requirements

Required Competencies

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field; master's preferred or equivalent experience
  • Experience: 7-10+ years of progressive IT experience, including senior leadership responsibility
