Advance Fleet Services is looking for a highly skilled Level A Diesel Technician who takes pride in diagnosing problems correctly and fixing them right the first time. This is not an entry-level role. We’re looking for someone who can work independently, handle complex diagnostics, and set the standard for quality in the shop. If you’re tired of rushed jobs, poor communication, or working with outdated equipment, this is a place where your experience is valued.
What You’ll Do Advanced:

Diagnostics & Repair
● Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
● Perform in-depth troubleshooting on diesel engines, trailers, and fleet equipment
● Handle jobs that go beyond basic service; this is where your expertise matters
Quality Workmanship
● Complete repairs accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision
● Ensure all work meets company and industry standards
● Stand behind your work, reducing comebacks and repeat repairs, Preventative
Maintenance & Inspections
● Perform thorough inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems
● Complete preventative maintenance services with attention to detail
Team Support
● Assist and mentor junior technicians when needed
● Collaborate with the Service Manager and team to keep workflow moving
● Communicate clearly about job status, parts needs, and potential delays Shop Responsibility
● Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
● Keep your workspace clean, organized, and safe
● Follow all safety procedures and best practices
What We’re Looking For:

● 5+ years of hands-on diesel technician experience
● Strong diagnostic skills (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic)
● Ability to work independently and solve problems efficiently
● Experience with fleet maintenance and repair
● Own tools required (specialty tools a plus)
● CDL and/or certifications are a plus, but not required
