Marine Diesel & Generator Technician - $39.88 - $57.50 per hour

Quinn Company, your local Caterpillar dealer, is hiring a Marine Diesel & Generator Technician to join our Power Systems team. If you have experience working on diesel engines, generators, marine engines, or power generation equipment, we want to hear from you. This position is ideal for a skilled technician who enjoys troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining engines and generator systems.

Wages

Starting wage for a Marine Power Systems Technician will depend on experience and education. $39.88 - $57.50

Responsibilities

As a Quinn technician, you'll work with Caterpillar equipment and technology while being part of an established team that values safety, quality workmanship, and professional growth.

Location: Oxnard, CAPay: $33 - $57.50/hr (DOE) + Overtime + Full Benefits

What You'll Do
  • Marine diesel engines and generator sets
  • Engine and generator troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • Electrical and mechanical systems
  • Preventive maintenance and repairs
  • Caterpillar and other heavy-duty diesel/power generation equipment
  • Diagnose and repair marine diesel engines, generators
  • Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics
  • Perform engine overhauls and component replacements
  • Maintain accurate service reports and documentation
  • Provide strong customer service while working independently

  • Experience with diesel engines (marine or industrial)
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • CAT or similar equipment experience is a plus

Qualifications

One-year certificate or Associates degree from a community college or technical school; Five plus year's heavy equipment experience or equivalent education and experience.
