Job description

Diamond Select Staffing is working with a fabulous company in the Baltimore / Annapolis area to add another Kitchen Designer to their team. Founded in 2003, they are experts in the Kitchen & Bath Industry. The Role

Design, estimate, and sell new construction and remodeling projects for builders, remodeling contractors and retail clients.

Duties include, but are not limited to, client qualification, design completion, quote completion, contract creation, selling of projects, and processing of sales orders.

Provide showroom coverage (as needed) during business hours of assigned location which includes assisting any clients that visit location, as well as upkeep and maintenance of point of sales materials (samples & literature), showroom selection centers, and showroom displays.

Essential Functions

· Meet potential clients and gather information about their project

· Determine budget and time frame of proposed project

· Design, specify materials, and estimate project

· Complete field measure of space to confirm all measurements prior to finalizing design and quote

· Provide final plans and if needed, attend pre-construction appointments with tradespeople

· Be able to sell / close projects and meet monthly sales goals

· Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and co-workers, as appropriate, demonstrating exceptional client service

· Develop an extensive knowledge of our product offering

· Provide showroom coverage to greet, qualify, and assist any potential, current, or past clients

· Assist in showroom coverage at unassigned locations as needed

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

· High School Diploma or GED

· 1 to 3 years Kitchen and Bath design industry experience

· Ability to travel for in-home design consultations and / or field measures with clients

· Excellent organizational skills, strong math skills, verbal and written communication skills are essential.

· Must be proficient in Kitchen and Bath Design, using 2020 Design

· Must be proficient with MS Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook

· Ability to multi-task and manage time well

· Ability to work in a team environment

· Enjoy designing and creating unique living spaces

· Be self-motivated and goal oriented with clear personal and career goals

· Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and blueprints

· Ability to read and interpret common business documents including reports, charts, graphs, and diagrams

· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

· Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or listen. The employee frequently is required to use hands and to feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. This job does require completing field measures, traveling to job sites, walking from unit to unit, completing the measure, and walking up and down stairs will be required.

Working Conditions

· Typical office environment. The noise level is usually moderate.

· The initial training for this role will be conducted in our Columbia, MD location and be on a Monday – Friday schedule (8:30-5:00)

· Once assigned to a store location, the schedule could include a range of Monday – Saturday hours (actual hours may vary by location) not to exceed 5 days per week

· 40 hours per week including a possible Saturday rotation
