As a Physical Therapist at Diamond Hearts, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Consulting with patients to assess their physical conditions, symptoms, and therapeutic needs.
• Formulating accurate diagnoses of movement dysfunction and creating individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs.
• Implementing therapeutic exercise techniques that empower patients to participate actively in their own rehabilitation.
• Utilizing a variety of modalities, including stimulation and massage, to promote healing and recovery.
• Assisting patients in learning to use mobility equipment, such as wheelchairs or walkers, to enhance their safety and autonomy.
• Documenting patient progress and maintaining accurate records to track their journey through rehabilitation.
• Providing guidance to patients and families on at-home exercises and treatment options to ensure continuity of care.

Our clinic caters to a diverse patient population, ranging from children with developmental challenges to adults and seniors dealing with rehabilitation after injuries or surgeries. To be considered for this position, applicants must possess:

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• A valid physical therapy license issued by the state of Virginia.

• Proficiency with word processing and electronic health record systems to document patient interactions and progress.
• A flexible, adaptable demeanor to meet the varying needs of patients and clinic demands.

We require a minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, ideally in outpatient physical therapy. Familiarity with evidence-based practices and previous experience in developing treatment protocols will be beneficial in this role.
