In this role, you will lead a high-performing team to deliver these critical solutions and drive innovation within AppleCare.
As the Engineering Manager for Field Diagnostics Engineering, you will lead a team that has proven itself by delivering high-quality hardware and software diagnostic solutions. You will build and nurture partnerships with cross-functional teams both within and outside of AppleCare. You will be hands-on, disciplined, and driven to succeed in a challenging environment, ensuring our field repair technicians have the tools they need to provide exceptional customer experiences.
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 10+ years of experience in software development, with 4+ years in an engineering management role.Experience programming in macOS or iOS ecosystems (Swift/Objective-C), including building and debugging system or application-level software.Experience with computer architecture and hardware/software interactions.
Experience with macOS or iOS system architecture, including security models.Knowledge of CPUs, GPUs, and SoCs.Experience with field diagnostics, manufacturing, or repair workflows.Experience with diagnostics, logging, telemetry, or observability systems.Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.Focus on execution, quality, and reliability, with a track record of delivering complex systems.Communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to cross-functional teams and leaders.
