Job description

Position Summary:

Import Operations Team lead- is responsible to multi-task and direct multiple employees. Communicate effectively with customs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process inbound and outbound freight shipments for U.S. Customs clearance.
  • Screen and review shipments to ensure compliance with OFAC and all applicable government regulations.
  • Accurately enter and maintain data for all OFAC-related shipments.
  • Communicate shipment status updates and delays with DHL origin and destination stations.
  • Review invoices, shipping documents, and shipment contents for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with the ITAC team to support compliance efforts and resolve shipment issues.
  • Conduct research and gather necessary information to facilitate timely shipment clearance.
  • Maintain professionalism and accuracy while working in a fast-paced operational environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience:

         Strong understanding of operations and customs processes.

Skills:

  • Proficient in computer operations and data entry systems.
  • Strong analytical and research skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 70 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical activities such as bending, stooping, and climbing stairs/ladders.
  • Flexibility to work PM shifts and adapt to operational requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively in various weather conditions.
