Schedule: Monday - Friday (flexibility required based on operational demand)
Role Overview
DHL Supply Chain is hiring an experienced Operations Supervisor to support our Fontana, CA operations on 2nd shift (12:00 PM - 9:00 PM). This role is responsible for supervising daily warehouse activities, leading hourly associates, and ensuring safe, efficient, and high?quality operations in a fast?paced logistics environment.
The Operations Supervisor serves as a hands?on leader, driving productivity, supporting employee engagement, and ensuring DHL performance standards are met for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily warehouse operations during 2nd shift at the Fontana site
  • Lead, coach, and motivate hourly associates to meet productivity, quality, and safety expectations
  • Ensure compliance with all DHL safety policies, OSHA standards, and site?specific procedures
  • Conduct daily shift start?up meetings and communicate operational priorities
  • Monitor labor performance and adjust staffing plans to align with workload demands
  • Track and report KPIs related to productivity, quality, attendance, and safety
  • Address operational issues in real time and escalate as needed
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and performance
  • Enforce company policies consistently while promoting a positive work culture
  • Collaborate with Operations Managers, HR, and support teams to meet site objectives
Required Qualifications
  • Bachleors Degree
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high?volume, time?sensitive operation
  • Working knowledge of warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Flexibility to support extended hours, peak seasons, weekends, or schedule changes as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a 3PL or high?volume distribution center
  • Background in labor management, productivity tracking, and KPI execution
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement exposure

For roles in California the range is $70,304 - $82,000 and for roles in Washington the range is $80,169 - $82,000.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to track performance and identify areas of improvement. Provide regular reports and analysis to management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations for enhancing warehouse operations.
  • Foster an environment of open communication and collaboration, facilitating regular and effective dialogue among leadership and associates to promote transparency, alignment, and teamwork.

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferred.
  • 1+ years operations experience in a lead/supervisor/management role, preferred.
  • 1+ years logistics industry experience, preferred.
  • Staff management, workload planning, objective setting and organizational skills, preferred.
