Duties * As a Social Worker, you will perform the following duties: * Perform direct, independent clinical interventions to mandated inmate population in a multimodal (group/individual) therapeutic setting. * Provide interventions to assist inmates in changing their behaviors, attitudes, and values that contributed to the commission of their criminal acts. * Maintain clinical documentation in accordance with clinical practice guidelines (CPGs), ensuring socialization of client's progress and needs throughout the therapeutic community. * Conduct orientation for corrections personnel and/or other professional staff on human behavior and the important role of risk assessment and rehabilitation in the field of corrections. * Provide clinical support to non-licensed counseling staff. * Assist in identifying internal and external risks, and provide appropriate intervention to address and mitigate high-risk factors. Requirements Conditions of employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. * This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to applicant testing and random drug testing. Selectees will be required to sign DA Form 5019 requiring participation in random drug urinalysis testing. * Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
