The Devtest engineer role will focus on testing, validating & ensuring all software activities are held to a high standard of excellence.
We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent team skills ready to work in a challenging environment.
Primary Responsibilities & Tasks:
Work with development team members to understand product functionality.
Build automation test framework(s) based on product features and capabilities (Python unittest).
Convert use cases into test cases utilizing test software. (TestLink, HP ALM).
Ability to write clear and concise test cases whether automated or manual.
Reproduce production bugs in various lab environments and report accordingly (JIRA, Bugzilla, and Mantis).
Ability to understand and test against positive/negative scenarios in order to find bugs.
Desired Skills:
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant work experience.
Experience testing REST API's.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Working experience in Software Devtest and testing methodologies.
Excellent teamwork skills and self-starter.
Working experience with white and black box testing.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
