Job Title: Senior DevSecOps Engineer, Level 3
Location: King of Prussia, PA
Type of Role: Full-Time, Onsite
Shift: 9x80 Schedule (Every other Friday off) POSITION OVERVIEW
The Global Edge Consultants, LLC is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer (Level 3) who is excited to incorporate new technologies into the software development process and own key elements of secure development infrastructure. The successful candidate will maintain and enhance development environments, perform system administration functions in support of development efforts, and operate confidently to customer specifications in a highly secure space and defense environment. Strong documentation skills are a plus, as this role supports clear, auditable DevSecOps workflows across development, operations, and security teams. RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Maintain and improve development infrastructure supporting secure software delivery and mission requirements. Perform system administration functions to support development, integration, and test activities. Develop, automate, and maintain CI/CD pipelines with a strong focus on integrating security into each stage of the software lifecycle. Leverage automation tools (such as GitLab CI and similar) to efficiently embed security and quality gates into build, test, and deploy workflows. Work with cloud technologies, containers, and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes to support secure, scalable platforms. Apply deep security knowledge to threat modeling, risk assessment, and security testing activities. Collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams to identify and resolve security and operational challenges. Document architectures, configurations, procedures, and security controls in a clear and maintainable manner. Stay current on emerging security threats, technologies, and DevSecOps trends and recommend improvements to practices and tools. Assess, prioritize, and manage security risks in alignment with business and mission objectives. Ensure DevSecOps practices comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and organizational information security standards. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Basic Qualifications
Demonstrated experience with the following automation technologies: Pipeline automation GitLab Kubernetes Current Top Secret security clearance; U.S. Citizenship required. Desired Skills
The successful candidate may also have demonstrated experience with: Ansible Helm Argo CD Terraform Kubernetes volume provisioning (for example, Rook) Core Competencies
Strong technical expertise in coding, scripting, and automation tools; solid understanding of cloud technologies, containers, and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes. Deep understanding of security principles, practices, and tools; familiarity with threat modeling, risk assessment techniques, and security testing tools. Excellent collaboration and communication skills; ability to work closely with development, operations, and security teams and clearly articulate security concerns and solutions. Continuous learning mindset with demonstrated commitment to staying updated on security threats, technologies, and DevSecOps trends. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve security and operational challenges quickly and effectively. Automation-focused approach to integrating security into CI/CD pipelines, leveraging tools such as GitLab CI and automated security testing solutions. Ability to assess, prioritize, and manage security risks in alignment with business and mission objectives. Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements related to information security and ability to ensure DevSecOps practices comply with these standards. WORK SCHEDULE, COMPENSATION, AND OTHER DETAILS
Work Schedule: 9x80 schedule with every other Friday off. Work Arrangement: Onsite full-time at a designated facility in King of Prussia, PA. Position Type: Full-Time, first shift.
