Summary


The DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, automating, and supporting the Bank's cloud infrastructure, with a focus on AWS, Amazon EKS, Terraform, and CI/CD platforms. Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Build, administer, and optimize Amazon EKS clusters and containerized workloads to support modern application platforms.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines that automate application deployment, testing, and release processes.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions to ensure platform reliability and performance.
  • Manage cloud networking, security, identity, and access controls in alignment with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Support microservices, APIs, and cloud-native architectures by establishing platform standards and best practices.
  • Automate operational processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and system resilience.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
  • Collaborate with engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to drive platform modernization and DevSecOps adoption.
  • Serve as a technical resource for cloud platform initiatives and provide guidance on AWS, Kubernetes, and automation best practices.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements that enhance security, reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and operating AWS-based infrastructure and DevOps platforms. 
  • Experience managing Kubernetes environments, preferably Amazon EKS. 
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform. 
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native applications. 
  • Solid understanding of AWS core services, including EC2, EKS, VPC, IAM, Route 53, CloudWatch, S3, RDS, and Lambda. 
  • Strong understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of networking, security, DNS, load balancing, and cloud architecture principles.
  • Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and observability solutions. 
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in distributed systems environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative, team-first mindset.
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional, AWS Solutions Architect, or equivalent cloud certifications.
  • Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, ArgoCD, FluxCD, or similar deployment automation platforms.
  • Knowledge of service mesh, API gateways, and microservices architectures.
  • Experience implementing DevSecOps controls and cloud security best practices.
  • Experience supporting highly regulated environments such as financial services or banking.
