Release Manager

Orion180

Irving, TX • On-site

Full-time

Job description

Job Summary:
Orion180 is a company dedicated to delivering exceptional insurance experiences through innovative technology and unparalleled customer service. They are seeking a Release Manager to oversee the release governance process, ensuring all production deployments meet quality, security, and compliance standards. This hands-on leadership role involves coordinating across various teams to maintain controlled and low-risk deployments.
Responsibilities:
• Own the release governance process and serve as the go/no-go authority for all production deployments.
• Ensure every release meets quality, security, and compliance standards before reaching production.
• Coordinate across all value streams, QA Governance, DevOps, and SRE so deployments are controlled, repeatable, and low risk.
• Build frameworks, coach teams, and contribute directly alongside the people you lead.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3+ years in release management, DevOps management, or deployment engineering roles.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release governance.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD platforms.
• Experience managing release processes for complex, multi-team environments.
• Understanding of rollback strategies, blue/green deployments, canary releases, and feature flags.
• Strong understanding of QA processes, regression testing, and production monitoring.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred) and containerized deployments.
• Strong organizational and communication skills - able to coordinate across multiple teams under time pressure.
• Demonstrated player/coach leadership style - you set the strategy AND roll up your sleeves to execute. You’re comfortable building the first version of a process, template, or deliverable yourself rather than waiting for your team to be in place.
Preferred:
• Experience in insurance or financial services technology is a plus.
• ITIL, DevOps, or release management certifications are a plus.
Company:
At Orion180, we are dedicated to empowering insurance agents with innovative home insurance solutions that enhance their offerings and strengthen client relationships. Founded in 2017, the company is headquartered in Melbourne, USA, with a team of 201-500 employees. The company is currently Growth Stage.
