QA Engineer IIISouthern Company Services is seeking an experienced QA Engineer III to support quality engineering, test automation, performance testing, and release readiness across enterprise applications.The ideal candidate will have strong experience with API automation, regression testing, CI/CD integration, performance testing, defect analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute test strategies for regression, new functionality, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing.Create and maintain test plans, test cases, automated test suites, and exploratory test charters.Build reusable and maintainable automation frameworks for API and UI testing.Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure reliable, actionable test results.Perform load, stress, endurance, scalability, and peak-volume testing.Establish performance baselines and monitor latency, throughput, response times, and error rates.Lead defect triage and support root-cause analysis.Partner with developers, product teams, and DevOps to improve testability, logging, instrumentation, and acceptance criteria.Provide clear reporting on test coverage, quality risks, release readiness, and recommendations.Support continuous improvement of quality-management processes and standards.Qualifications5–10 years of experience in quality assurance, test automation, or software quality engineering.Strong experience with API testing and automation.Experience with UI, integration, and end-to-end testing.Hands-on experience with performance and reliability testing.Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.Strong knowledge of regression, risk-based, exploratory, and scripted testing.Experience with defect management, test reporting, and root-cause analysis.Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Experience working with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams.Utility, energy, or regulated-industry experience is preferred.
