Senior PHP Developer

Impact Scale is seeking to hire a Senior PHP Developerto join our team to enhance, maintain, and scale our flagship communications platform — a mission-critical system that delivers reliable, high-speed communication at scale.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with the existing team to understand project requirements and plug into our workflow. 

  • Collaborate with product managers, DevOps, and QA to roll out new features and improve system stability.

  • Build and improve backend features in PHP (Laravel preferred) 

  • Optimize message delivery pipelines, database queries, and API calls for speed and reliability.

  • Maintain integrations with carrier APIs, third-party services, and internal microservices.

  • Design and optimize MySQL schemas for large datasets with high transaction rates.

  • Improve caching, queuing, and load-balancing strategies to handle millions of daily requests.

  • Write clean, testable code with strong error handling and fault-tolerant design.

  • Provide guidance to junior developers and participate in peer code reviews.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • 5+ years of PHP development experience, preferably in Laravel.

  • 3+ years in SQL, query optimization, and data modeling.

  • Experience in a similar high load project or platform

  • Advanced understanding of OOP, MVC architecture, RESTful API development, Ribbit MQ.

  • Git, Jira, Docker familiarity preferred.

  • Speak Ukrainian or Russian fluently
