Job description

The client is seeking a DevOps Engineer III.
Description of Duties:
The DevOps Engineer III will provide administration services to the new DevSecOps Kubernetes platform at the client. This position will work on application deployments, daily platform maintenance activities, monitoring system performance and security threats, and process improvements for the DevSecOps platform.
Key assignments include:
Assisting in the maintenance of enterprise container platform Rancher/Kubernetes.
Supporting secret management tool Vault for the DevSecOps platform.
Maintaining new identity management system Keycloak in Rancher/Kubernetes.
Working with other DevOps engineers and developers to deploy new applications to the DevSecOps platform.
Participating the evaluation of new security tools for the DevSecOps platform.
Creating and maintaining Terraform scripts and Ansible playbooks.
Developing Helm charts for system applications on the DevSecOps platform.
Monitoring logs, performance metrics for servers and system applications for the DevSecOps platform.
Working with application development teams on the deployment steps in CI/CD pipelines.
Maintaining documentation for the DevSecOps platform and tools.
Top skills:
Experience of the software development lifecycle.
Experience developing infrastructure as a code on Kubernetes platforms.
Experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Configuration Management.
Experience in system administration and network operations using Ansible playbooks.
Experience working with DevOps/agile methodologies using Jira, GitLab or Jenkins, and Nexus Repository Manager.
Nice to have skills:
Experience with Terraform and building the infrastructure using terraform configuration file and maintain state.
