Salesforce DevOps Engineer

Diverse Agile Solutions (DAS) | Remote / Hybrid

Diverse Agile Solutions (DAS) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Salesforce DevOps Engineer to support enterprise Salesforce development, testing, release management, and deployment automation initiatives. This role is responsible for managing secure CI/CD pipelines, environment synchronization, metadata deployments, and release governance across multiple Salesforce orgs.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Salesforce DevOps practices, Copado or Gearset pipelines, Git-based version control, Salesforce DX, and Agile delivery methodologies. This individual will work closely with developers, QA teams, administrators, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth, reliable, and compliant Salesforce releases.

Key Responsibilities

CI/CD & DevOps Automation

  • Design, implement, and optimize Salesforce CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Copado, Jenkins, Gearset, AutoRABIT, and Salesforce DX.
  • Automate deployment workflows to improve release quality, consistency, and deployment speed.
  • Manage metadata promotion across development, QA, UAT, and production environments.

Release Management

  • Lead end-to-end Salesforce release planning, scheduling, coordination, and execution for weekly, sprint-based, and project releases.
  • Coordinate release activities across development, QA, operations, and business teams.
  • Troubleshoot deployment failures, resolve merge conflicts, and execute rollback strategies when needed.

Version Control & Environment Management

  • Maintain Git branching strategies, code merges, and source control governance.
  • Ensure synchronization between sandboxes and production environments through effective back-promotion processes.
  • Support sandbox refreshes, data seeding, and environment readiness activities.

Security, Governance & Compliance

  • Implement secure deployment workflows with proper segregation of duties and controlled access.
  • Conduct release audits and monitor for unauthorized changes outside approved deployment pipelines.
  • Maintain audit trails and support compliance requirements.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with Salesforce developers, administrators, QA analysts, and business stakeholders to improve release efficiency and operational stability.
  • Mentor project team members on Salesforce DevOps best practices and deployment standards.
  • Continuously enhance deployment automation, governance, and release reliability.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience as a Salesforce DevOps Engineer, Salesforce Developer, or related role.
  • Strong experience with Salesforce deployment tools including Copado, Gearset, Jenkins, AutoRABIT, Azure DevOps, ANT Migration Tool, and Change Sets.
  • Hands-on experience with Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, Salesforce DX (SFDX), and metadata management.
  • Experience supporting Agile/Scrum delivery environments with sprint-based release cycles.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, environments, and release best practices.

Required Certifications

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator
  • Copado Fundamentals I Certification
  • Copado Fundamentals II Certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer
  • Salesforce Certified Developer
  • Copado Extension Builder Certification
  • Copado AI Certification
  • Previous experience supporting UMGC or USM environments preferred.
