Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • AAP Installation & Platform Architecture: Install, configure, and upgrade Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) environments across hybrid cloud infrastructures, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and scalable execution nodes.
  • AAP Administration & Governance: Administer AAP components including Controller, Automation Hub, and EDA (Event-Driven Ansible). Manage RBAC, SAML/LDAP authentication, credential vaults, inventory syncs, and execution environments (EEs).
  • GitOps & Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement GitOps practices to manage AAP configurations as code (e.g., using infra.controller / awx.awx collections) and automate state synchronization using Git repositories, Webhooks, and tools like ArgoCD or GitLab CI.
  • Playbook & Automation Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain production-ready Ansible playbooks and idempotent, reusable roles to automate complex tasks across Linux, Windows, and multi-cloud platforms.
  • CI/CD & Pipeline Integration: Integrate Ansible automation into modern CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins) for continuous testing, linting (ansible-lint), and automated deployment.
  • Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve AAP cluster issues, execution node failures, job timeout bottlenecks, and API integration errors while optimizing playbook performance and execution speed.
  • Collaboration & Client Enablement: Collaborate with cross-functional DevOps, Security, and Cloud Infrastructure teams to identify automation candidates, establish governance standards, and provide technical enablement for client teams adopting Ansible workflows.
