Job description

Paperless Environments has been revolutionizing document management and accounts payable workflow automation since 2005. Our innovative software solutions are used by over 2000 customers across all 50 states and in 5 other countries. Our software allows users to import documents from OCR, emails, mobile, and web portals and then provides superior document routing and form entry while synchronizing entry data from our software back into a customer's accounting system. The key to our success is our partnership and integration with many of the most popular ERP systems on the market. Over the past few years, we have been working on reinventing our flagship on premise products into a fully SaaS based architecture and we can use your help!

A successful developer will be exceptionally organized, efficient, an excellent communicator and someone who has a passion for helping our customers achieve success with our products. Our customers love our products, and our developers get to continuously expand their skillsets with innovative technology, while bringing our software ideas to life.

A Little Bit About Your Future Team:

The development side of Paperless currently consists of eleven developers and three QA. We work closely with the product team’s business analysts and UI/UX designers to bring our features to market. Each developer has their own specialties, with some overlap between backend, frontend, mobile, web, and desktop. We love collaboration, and the size of our team really allows each developer to pursue development interests that excite them!

We are currently running two-week sprints kicked off by a sprint planning and ending with a sprint review with stand ups mixed in throughout the sprint. We use Microsoft DevOps for sprint planning, ticketing, deployment, and repo management.

Our tech stack for this hire will primarily be working in ReactJS on the frontend. The backend stack includes Azure, CosmosDB, SQL, and C# .NET 8, and both ends are connected through a RestAPI that you'll help design and consume. For well-rounded candidates, opportunities to work more deeply in cloud architecture and mobile development may also be available.

 Key Responsibilities of this Role:

  • Build out new features from the ground up writing clean, scalable code
  • Design, code, and test business systems to meet requirements
  • Work alongside other developers on cross-functional teams to build our SaaS based software
  • Build and connect ReactJS frontend single page application into C# backend via RestAPI, including building new endpoints to be accessed through this API.
  • Responsible for successful completion of code deliverables within projects and sprint cycles
  • Involvement in the various phases of the SDLC
  • Work alongside development leadership to help determine scope and direction of new features

What We're Looking For:

  • 3+ years of software development experience in client-side development on single page applications using ReactJS through a RestAPI
  • 4+ years of software development experience in backend development using C# .NET
  • Experience using async / await to build asynchronous backend calls
  • Familiarity with good backend design patterns (we currently use MediatR with CQRS and repository patterns)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
  • Proficient with modern JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • A drive to analyze, diagnose, and successfully solve complex problems
  • Ability to work independently on small teams with minimum supervision
  • Strong organizational, decision making, verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable with version control using Git
  • Someone with a great attitude who loves collaboration and engagement
  • This role can be mid-level or senior level depending on experience

Nice to Have:

  • UI/UX design experience
  • Experience with mobile development using ReactNative
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud services
  • Experience with Document Management, OCR, Accounting or Automated Workflow Process software

What We Have to Offer:

  • Exposure to modern technologies across various industries in an agile environment
  • Comprehensive benefits package after 60 days of continuous employment
  • Company matching retirement plan after one year of service
  • 120 hours of PTO yearly that begins accruing on start date
  • Budget for professional development
  • Company paid life insurance for employees

  • FLSA Classification: Exempt
  • Compensation: $110k - $120k DOE
