We are looking for a seasoned Platform Engineer with experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable distributed systems & infrastructure. The platform engineering team builds and manages the infrastructure & core services that powers Honor's Care Platform. Our charter is focused on providing foundational building blocks to enable the entire engineering organization to deliver reliably and efficiently. We also own build and deployment pipelines of our services, maintenance of various environments and their supporting infrastructure and serve as consultants to build the right abstractions for patterns of problems. This is a highly technical, hands-on role that requires a wide and deep experience in managing applications and infrastructure across cloud services. It requires deep practical knowledge of cloud platforms, advanced software design patterns & architecture, operations and automation, and containerization technologies like Kubernetes. The ideal candidate is driven by providing business value, is comfortable working with systems at varying levels of maturity, and appreciates making nuanced tradeoffs. You will be joining a small team of highly-skilled, enthusiastic, and passionate engineers with an opportunity to create an outsized impact in contributing to the future evolution of Honor's Care Platform.

What are we looking for in a candidate:

  • You thrive in a foundational role supporting diverse, cross-functional teams as your customers, possess exceptional problem solving and analytical skills.
  • At least 6 years of professional experience in a platform engineering team within a product-centric company.
  • Design and implement foundational patterns and libraries for Python applications, across a range of technologies from API services to event processing
  • Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to ensure reproducible and scalable environment setups.
  • Design and implement infrastructure for applications hosted on AWS, supporting event-driven systems, containerized services on Kubernetes, and serverless functions.
  • Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, ArgoCD.
  • Have experience automating the lifecycle management of code from development through production, including code promotion and configuration management.
  • Instrument observability through tools such as CloudWatch and DataDog to monitor and optimize application performance across multiple environments.
  • Scale infrastructure to meet increasing demand while managing cost effectively
  • Have experience defining, instrumenting and measuring standards for quality, security, scalability, and availability with a focus on delivering business value.

$194,000—$220,000 USD
