Job description

About this role

Wells Fargo is seeking an AI Solutions Lead to own AI solution delivery within Wealth & Investment Management. This is a single shape-and-build role - a hybrid of a Forward Deployed Engineer and a product leader - who both defines the AI solution and rapid prototypes a solution, partnering with the Technology for hardened delivery and Chief Product Office product manager who owns the business roadmap.

You will not simply advise and hand off. You will find the delivery path down the three-layer pyramid: building thin-layer applications (vendored capability plus light custom glue such as retrieval, write-back, or supervision) and configured agents (assembled by configuration and prompting inside approved platforms such as our internal Agent Studio, Claude Code / Cowork, and Copilot), and producing blueprints for WIM Technology to industrialize the heaviest top-layer platform builds.

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee and sometimes own AI solution delivery for end-to-end - from shaping through prototype, evaluation, pilot, and adoption.
  • Partner with the CPO product manager (who owns the business roadmap) to author AI-specific PRDs: users, success metric, data, pattern, risk tier, and effort.
  • Personally build thin-layer applications and configured agents on the paved-road toolchain (Tachyon Agent Studio, Claude Code / Cowork, Copilot), determining the lightest layer that delivers the outcome.
  • Produce hand-off blueprints / PRDs and user stories for WIM Technology to industrialize top-layer platform builds, and integrate solutions to systems of record with Technology.
  • Work with the Model & Eval team to stand up eval harnesses, golden datasets, and regression / accuracy / safety evals - clearing the Stage-3 quality bar before build.
  • Prepare governance evidence during prototyping - AIRR, architecture (JAD) review, MRM tiering, and policy / ECM checks.
  • Develop business cases and value-realization frameworks; quantify efficiency, quality, scalability, and client-impact benefits.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement, change management, pilot cohorts, and field adoption; monitor realized value and identify opportunities to scale.
  • Present solution approaches, evaluation results, and delivery roadmaps to senior leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Artificial Intelligence Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications

  • Hands-on delivery of AI, machine learning, generative AI, RAG, automation, or agentic solutions - building, not only advising (Experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Customer Engineer, or Solutions Architect preferred).
  • Fluency with low-code / no-code and agent platforms (e.g., Agent Studio, Claude Code / Cowork, Devin, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini Enterprise, Cursor) and with LLMs, agentic frameworks, and workflow orchestration.
  • Knowledge of investment management, consumer facing financial agent implementations, portfolio management, trade support, client reporting, operational servicing, or enterprise data ecosystems.
  • Experience within wealth management, investment management, brokerage operations, asset management, or financial services.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms and AI governance / responsible-AI frameworks in regulated environments.
  • Strong business-case development, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills; ability to influence without direct authority
