Opportunity:

Cath Lab Technician

Job Details:

• Cardiac Cath Lab experience required with at least two of the following four modalities: Cardiac Cath, Interventional Radiology, Vascular, or Neuro
• Experience in two of the four modalities must be reflected in work history
• 18 months of experience in specialty required, 2 years preferred
• Guaranteed hours: 36 hours for 12-hour shifts or 40 hours for 8/10-hour shifts
• Call requirement based on unit need, discussed with nurse manager on a case-by-case basis with no set schedule
• Weekend requirements can be discussed with manager
• Float required within scope to meet facility needs across all three sister facilities within 20 miles
• Block scheduling not available
• Scrub color: Ceil Blue
• Charting system: EPIC
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT R; RCIS and RCVT preferred
• Skills required include: Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiac Implant Closure Device, Cardiac Stent Placement, IABP Placement/Removal, Interpretation of Dysrhythmias, Left and Right Heart Catheterization, PCI, PTCA, Rotablator Atherectomy, Scrub Procedures, Equipment Setup, Recognition of Life-Threatening Arrhythmias, Room Circulator, Sterile Field Maintenance, Isolation Precautions/PPE, and Sterile Technique
• EKG and Pharm test required during orientation with a maximum of 2 attempts each
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application — requests added later will likely not be approved
• Nicotine-free facility; negative 10-panel plus nicotine (cotinine) drug screen required
• Time-sensitive modules must be prioritized and completed prior to start date

This short-term acute care facility operates across three hospital locations within a 20-mile radius, providing comprehensive cardiovascular and interventional services. With 180 staffed beds, the facility utilizes EPIC for charting and maintains a strict smoke-free and nicotine-free environment. The organization is committed to high standards of patient care and requires travelers to complete required modules and competency assessments prior to and throughout their assignment.
