Job description

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, affiliated with NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, is seeking a full-time Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician. This role involves providing clinical care and teaching to an urban, ethnically diverse, and underserved pediatric population. The position offers opportunities for professional growth within a dynamic academic setting.

Practice Info

  • Work with an urban, ethnically diverse, underserved population.
  • The Department of Pediatrics and its division of Ambulatory Pediatrics serves over 10,000 individual patients per year.
  • Serves as a referral center for developmental pediatrics within the community network of pediatricians.
  • Hospital is easily accessible by public transportation and car from all areas of New York City, New Jersey, and Long Island.
  • Clinical care and teaching will be provided in the outpatient setting.
  • Patient populations include underserved, lower socio-economic, and immigrant families.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to clinical care of developmental behavioral pediatrics in child and adolescent populations.
  • Provide clinical care for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, emotional disorders, and intellectual disability.
  • Contribute to teaching of developmental behavioral pediatrics in child and adolescent populations.
  • Provide clinical supervision and mentorship of medical students and residents.
  • Provide didactic teaching and guest lectures.
  • Opportunities for research, curriculum development, and QI.
  • Growth in clinical research skills.

Compensation

  • Compensation ranges from $236,000 to $241,000 (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits).

Requirements

  • MD degree
