Job description

Description:

About Us: PurgeRite, the leader in engineered mechanical flushing services, is seeking highly motivated entry level mechanical engineers with a passion for hands on learning. We serve all sizes of commercial mechanical companies across the U.S. with end user clients that include many top Fortune 100 companies. Projects include data centers, semiconductor and EV battery manufacturers, universities, health care facilities, and district energy systems.

We are a first-mover company seeking an individual that works with a sense of urgency, provides excellent customer service, and is motivated to learn. Just like our CEO, CTO, Principal Engineer, and VP of Operations, began their PurgeRite careers, this role begins in the field learning the intricacies of complex engineered flushing on the ground at customer project sites around the U.S.

Position Overview:

Our customers choose PurgeRite because of our unique ability to deliver turn-key engineered flushing solutions for some of the most complex hydronic systems being deployed today. This development program has been curated to expose new engineers to a wide variety of field projects to facilitate rapid development of deep expertise in the domain. Engineering solutions unique to each customerโ€™s system requires acquiring a deep understanding of their system design, their flushing and chemical treatment requirements, and site infrastructure logistics and there is no better way to develop this expertise than engaging directly in project execution.

Program Design

ยท For assignment one you will be embedded as a member of a field crew, deploying to customer sites (approximately 50% travel) where you will learn the basics of hydronic systems, pumps, hoses, filters and flush plan execution. You will learn at your own pace while performing daily operational assignments and advance to assignment two after mastering the basic elements of mechanical flushing, typically 30 to 90 days.

ยท Assignment two will also be embedded as a member of a field crew where you will focus on learning hydronic system balancing, flow measurement, chiller operation, and chemical treatment management. (approximately 50% travel). In this assignment you will also be responsible for engineering data collection. Between field projects you will be responsible for running engineering experiments and reporting the results. You will learn at your own pace and advance to your next assignment after mastering flush management, typically 60 to 120 days.

ยท In your final field assignment, you will be embedded as a member of a field crew, deploying to customer sites (approximately 50% travel) where you will oversee and direct flushing operations. Between field projects, you will begin working under the direction of a Lead Engineer to begin learning flush engineering. You will oversee typically three flushing projects (typical deployments of 5 to 10 days each) to complete your field training.

ยท In the final assignment you will work directly under a Lead Engineer to engineer and document flush plans. You will learn at your own pace and graduate from the program when you are ready to independently engineer flush plans, typically 60 to 120 days.

ยท Upon successful completion of the program, you will be promoted to Project Engineer where you will manage turn key flush engineering projects.

Requirements:

ยท Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface with all stakeholders from field technicians to owner representatives

ยท A strong sense of urgency and dedication to meeting project timelines

ยท Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings

ยท Passion for hands-on learning and willingness to learn the business in the field.

ยท Demonstrated ability to rapidly solve problems with practical solutions

ยท Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering
