Job Summary
The Development Program Manager (P3) is a key member of the team providing critical support for our growing organization in a fast-paced environment. The Development Program Manager will focus on supporting the development team's creation and maintenance of project plans, core data, budgets, schedules, and process optimization,
Essential Functions:
  • Facilitate the development and integrity of Project Development Plans, ensuring all activities and milestones are logically linked.
  • Support the development team in creation, implementation, and maintenance of detailed project budgets and forecasts with consistent format and logic.
  • Project and development enterprise risk identification, documentation, analysis, and tracking.
  • Collaborate with and lead cross functional teams, including legal, commercial, engineering, project execution, government affairs, and finance in refining business processes.
  • Provide actionable insights based on current plans & procedures and recommend key risk controls, and stage gate refinements.
  • Support the development team by ensuring proper maintenance and integrity of project and portfolio visualization.
  • Ensure all reporting requirements are met on a timely basis.
  • Monitor capital efficiency metrics (cost per MW to NTP, time-to-NTP, capital at risk per stage).
  • Evaluate and recommend software solutions to improve reporting efficiency and cross-functional coordination & visibility.
  • Identify best in class processes & procedures being utilized by other infrastructure development organizations and make improvement recommendations to leadership accordingly.
  • Facilitate project and departmental benchmarking via competitive intelligence gathering from sources such as consultants, advisors, and trusted industry reports.
  • Support M&A integration efforts for acquired development assets.
  • Act as a senior representative in external meetings and interface with executive team, sponsor, and project investors.

LRE considers several factors when determining compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. In compliance with the Illinois Equal Pay Act, the salary range for the Development Program Manager is between $106,000 to $146,000 annually. Compensation is set within the range based on each candidate's background, with the potential to grow as responsibilities and experience increase. Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (engineering or business concentration desirable),
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience with expertise across renewable technologies and markets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent project management skills with a highly organized approach.
  • Fluent with Microsoft suite of products and able to effectively navigate Primavera P6, Smartsheet, and other similar software.
  • Experience with GIS, SharePoint, PowerBI and Power Automate desired.
  • Familiarity with CRM software, such as Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Physical Demands:
  • Position will require sitting for long periods of time.
  • Occasionally lift 20-pound or more.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.
