What does a Development Finance Intern do?

A Development Finance Intern typically supports organizations in activities related to funding and financial analysis for development projects. Their tasks may include conducting research on financing options, preparing financial reports, assisting with grant applications, and analyzing the financial sustainability of projects. Interns gain hands-on experience in the intersection of finance and development, often working with teams to support economic growth initiatives, infrastructure projects, or social programs. This position offers valuable exposure to the processes and challenges of mobilizing resources for development.

Interns often collaborate closely with investment analysts, project managers, and external partners, offering a hands-on experience in both finance and international development. This exposure is valuable for understanding real-world challenges in mobilizing capital for impactful projects and can open pathways to full-time roles in development finance.
