Job description

Job Summary:
Keylent Inc is seeking a Senior Associate for Postgres and Oracle DBA roles. The position requires strong experience in PostgreSQL and intermediate skills in Oracle, with responsibilities including installation, configuration, performance tuning, and providing database solutions.
Responsibilities:
• 5+ years experience working with Postgres Databases, including all aspects of installation/configuration, performance tuning, etc
• Advanced understanding of Linux OS
• Understand automation concept to speed up the work: ansible
• Advanced knowledge on Postgres internals
• Experience implementing high availability by setting up either streaming replication or logical replication and decoding
• Optimize queries/schemas
• Backup solutions and strategies
• HA solutions and strategies
• Ability to troubleshoot methodically, identifying and applying fixes for known errors, and when necessary, capacity to think outside of the box to resolve complex issues
• Internals about VACCUM process - MVCC, Dead Tuple and Bloat, Auto Vaccum Parameters etc.
• Development DBA with Oracle skills

• Developing and reviewing SQL queries to support application development.
• Providing database solutions based on technical documents and business requirements.
• Preparing documentations regarding database design, configuration and change management tasks.

• Ensuring data integrity and quality in database systems and maintaining standard policies for database development activities.
• Managing and monitoring performance, capacity, and security of database systems.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years of very strong experience on Postgres
• Intermediate experience on Oracle
• Ability to upskill on NoSQL in short duration
• 6 to 8 years of experience
• Advanced understanding of Linux OS
• Understand automation concept to speed up the work: ansible
• Advanced knowledge on Postgres internals
• Experience implementing high availability by setting up either streaming replication or logical replication and decoding
• Optimize queries/schemas
• Backup solutions and strategies
