Role: Learning and Development Senior Associate
Location: Chicago, IL

What you'll do

As a Learning and Development Senior Associate in the Talent department, you'll focus on our manager development and have the chance to:

  • Design and develop learning solutions to drive business performance:

    • Assess needs for the business, teams, and individuals and develop and deliver relevant L&D interventions and solutions.

    • Design, plan, implement and facilitate self-directed, virtual, blended, and in-person learning experiences in partnership with the business subject matter experts and the global Talent teams

    • Apply instructional design methodology including needs analysis to uncover measurable behaviors required for the role, resulting in performance-based outcomes.

    • Curate learning paths in our LMS (Workday learning, linkedin Learning, Knowbe4).

    • Collect data to analyze program effectiveness and recommend and implement ideas to improve learning solutions. Revise programs based on feedback and work to continuously improve them.

    • Demonstrate top-notch skills to facilitate training programs virtually or in-person - owning delivery for our manager curriculums.

    • Facilitate with confidence, presence, credibility, and energy, demonstrating understanding and application of adult learning principles. Be able to read the audience and shift delivery to engage learners.

  • Build relationships

    • Develop trusted advisor, consultative relationships with managers and senior leaders to keep a pulse on where L&D can add value.

    • Able to influence internal stakeholders, build relationships, and work across differences to find solutions/ identify gaps. Use data to make the case for change, or when recommending a learning modality.

    • Please note, as this is a global role from time to time you will facilitate for other geographies in other timezones.

What you'll bring

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in learning and development or closely related experience.

  • Passion for designing learning solutions and facilitating impactful learning experiences.

  • Experience with different learning modalities including live and virtual.

  • Excellent facilitation skills including ability to engage diverse audiences, pivot in real-time to keep content relevant, and answer difficult questions

  • Ability to work productively in a fast-paced environment of change and ambiguity, pivot during change and maintain a positive can-do attitude.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; speaks and writes clearly.

  • Flexibility to work across varying time zones - this role will require some out of hours facilitation once a month.

  • Familiarity with Google Suite.

  • Familiarity with Articulate Storyline and/or Workday Learning is a bonus

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Chicago, MiQ is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to Chicago and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At MiQ, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary for this position is $80,000 - $90,000. This range may vary for positions outside of Chicago as it has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled and does not take into account our bonus and commission structures.

Regardless of location, candidates can expect during the first few conversations with MiQ's Talent team and Hiring Managers to share any approved budget and details on our competitive bonus and commission packages.
