Job description

The essential function of the position within the organization is to perform moderately complex professional Transportation and Traffic engineering work in the research, design, development, review and coordination of County Traffic Operations and Traffic Engineering. The position is responsible for supervising assigned staff, serving as project manager, conducting plan review and approval, and performing related professional, administrative and technical work as assigned. The position works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences.
This position shall be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Requires a bachelor's Degree in civil engineering, transportation engineering or a closely related field.
Requires a valid Florida driver's license.
Requires three years of related experience.
