Job Summary:
Sammons Financial Group is seeking an experienced Sr. Java Developer to join their Corporate Markets business unit. In this role, you will play a key part in transforming a mission-critical insurance administration platform, guiding the migration from mainframe technology to a modern Java-based architecture while mentoring team members.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality applications that support critical business processes
• Identify and propose strategies around technical problems affecting business, communicate standards, and get consensus on solutions
• Collaborate with purpose. Work closely within your development team, architecture, and business partners to determine how to make our software even better
• Lead the implementation of complex solutions and continuously refine them based on stakeholder feedback
• Participate in application architecture, design reviews, and technical decision-making for our modernization initiatives
