Role & Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
  • Lead technical and financial feasibility assessments for electric transmission and substation projects
  • Develop early-stage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and prioritization frameworks
  • Identify site constraints, permitting pathways, and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare preliminary project development plans, including timelines, resourcing, and cost estimates
  • Collaborate with engineering, environmental, procurement, and construction teams to refine requirements
  • Coordinate with utility stakeholders, regulators, consultants, and vendors
  • Assemble comprehensive project development packages (scope, risks, schedule baseline, cost estimates) for execution handoff
  • Track progress against development milestones and adjust plans as required
  • Lead stakeholder meetings and provide clear, transparent reporting on risks, changes, and performance
  • Support vendor coordination and early contract administration
  • Capture lessons learned and continuously improve development processes
  • Champion PTAG's values of safety, accountability, collaboration, and integrity

Qualifications / Requirements
To succeed in this role, you bring:
  • 10+ years of experience in high voltage electric utility project development
  • Hands-on experience with electric transmission, substations, or utility infrastructure
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or related field
  • Strong experience in feasibility analysis, permitting coordination, and stakeholder engagement
  • Proficiency with project planning tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, SAP, or similar
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in matrixed, cross-functional environments
Preferred
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification
  • Prior experience supporting IOUs (Investor-Owned Utilities) or regulated utility environments

Salary Range for Role $ 205,000 to 210,000
Compensation at PTAG varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
