The Operations Specialist provides maintenance, regulatory compliance, and systems management services for hospital facilities under the direction of the Director of Engineering. This position assesses, prioritizes, assigns, troubleshoots, and procures facility maintenance and compliance requiring design, life cycle planning, repair, replacement, or new installation. The Operations Specialist oversees inventory, maintains documentation regarding facility equipment, and provides funding requests in alignment with the budgets. They perform duties in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, building standards, and hospital policies. The Operations Specialist manages the work processes to successfully undertake and complete the facility maintenance, compliance, and operational functions to provide a comfortable and safe hospital environment.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm EST
  • Maintain and record the facility's safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation for facility equipment, systems, and components.
  • Prepare contract approval forms and route for signatures.
  • Maintain the hospital computerized maintenance management system through the appropriate assignment of preventative maintenance orders, completion of work orders, and the recording of equipment history.
  • Maintain inventory of facility replacement equipment and components at appropriate levels.
  • Contribute to the management of facility systems including PM development, repairs and maintenance work requests, safety, risk, scheduling, quality control, budgeting, procurement, and life cycle planning.
  • Provide funding requests for operational, non-threshold capital, and threshold capital facility needs in alignment with submitted operational, non-threshold, and threshold budgets.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Associate degree in engineering or business management preferred
  • 5 years of experience in engineering, construction management, or business is required
  • 7 years of experience in engineering, construction management, or business is preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma - Yellow Belt, Lean Six Sigma - Green Belt, Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM), Microsoft Office certification or equivalent, Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) preferred
