We are seeking a seasoned Scrum Master to join our Langley AFB, VA-based Air Operations Center (AOC) Falconer team. In this role, you will work across the various feature teams to support sidecar integration by working closely in the development and operations & maintenance (O&M) domains. As a Scrum Master, you will be instrumental in driving the success of our Features Delivery Development Team, promoting efficiency, quality, and rapid delivery of features. Your expertise in communication, synchronizing teams, and Agile methodologies will ensure that our development processes are seamless, and our transition from concept to production is smooth and effective, positioning us to meet and exceed our strategic objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Work with Agile software development tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Trello) to manage backlogs, sprints, and collaborative work
  • Championing Agile processes within the feature teams, facilitating ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews
  • Acting as a liaison between development teams and operations and maintenance (O&M), fostering a collaborative environment that supports sidecar integration strategies
  • Working closely with developers/platform integrators and the O&M team to ensure that completed features are ready for deployment and that release plans are aligned with operational standards and schedules
  • Proactively identifying and addressing impediments affecting the delivery team's progress, applying problem-solving skills to mitigate issues promptly
  • Introducing and reinforcing industry best practices for Agile software development/mission systems integration, driving continuous improvement within the team's processes and workflows
Qualifications

Required Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. (4 years' equivalent experience may be accepted in lieu of degree)
  • 9 years IT/engineering experience, with 5 years' experience as a scrum master (Agile, Scaled Agile Framework [SAFE], etc.) or equivalent/demonstrable IT project management skills
  • US citizen, and active US DoD Security Secret clearance granted within the last 5 years
  • Experience with Agile software development tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Trello) to manage backlogs, sprints, and collaborative work
  • Strong facilitation skills, with the ability to guide and manage team dynamics and decision-making processes effectively
  • Demonstrable expertise in Scrum and other Agile methodologies, with a strong understanding of the roles, events, artifacts, and rules inherent in the Agile framework
  • Proficiency in backlog management, including user story creation, refinement, and estimation techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships across diverse technical and non-technical teams
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycles, DevOps culture, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Ability to apply Agile metrics and reporting techniques to assess progress, efficiency, and team performance
Desired
  • Experience working with DoD and/or Air Force IT systems, including experience in the command and control (C2) platforms/software integration domains like the Air Operations Centers
  • Professional Scrum Master (PSM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification is preferred
