Job description

Project Manager

Location: Pierceton, IN, US, 46562 Business Unit: Paragon Medical Orthopedics

The Project Manager assumes responsibility within Paragon Medical – to plan, monitor, and execute customer or internal New Product Introduction projects. This role is essential to coordinating multiple functions within the business, ensuring that contractual commitments are met, while maximizing customer satisfaction and Paragon Medical business benefits. Effective project management is a major factor in delivering the success of business growth goals through NPI. The Project Manager is a leader of product, process, and/or technology development and implementation. This role works directly with clients to drive project execution, mitigate risk, and steer decisions critical to project success measured against time and budget. This role will coordinate with other departments to fulfill the demands of each phase within each project.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • New product introduction. Monitor processes required to ensure efficient, timely, and compliant deliveries of a project from proposal to completion (product ship). This also includes facilitating issue resolution between functional areas.
  • Instrumental in the development of proposals and contracts and the negotiation process.
  • Provide routine direction and priorities across multiple projects.
  • Responsible for monitoring and communicating product introduction schedules and plans.
  • Partner with functional areas to understand new initiatives and projects and evaluate their impact on pending projects and workflows.
  • Facilitate the evaluation and analysis of the magnitude of the risks for additional commitments taken during the development phase.
  • Chair various meetings/information sessions to collect and/or present data.
  • Interface often with customers and across functional areas concerning project efforts.
  • Ensure that the customer requirements have been identified and are adequately communicated, including, but not limited to, "soft requirements" such as documentation, process limitations, and quality requirements.
  • Champion customer RMAs and complaints to ensure closure.
  • Coordinate and facilitate ECN process and product rework.
  • Monitor and maintain monthly sales projections for appropriate division.
  • Monitor and maintain DHR files.
  • Occasionally act as internal and external liaison for work in process and customer reorder questions and issues.
  • Travels as required to support customer and to maintain industry knowledge.

EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree

EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years of proven experience in project management. Proven experience in new product development and management of the full product lifecycle function.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Thorough knowledge of business development, manufacturing operations, project management functions, and engineering standards. Proficient in more than one technical area required for project success and able to challenge inputs to ensure efficient resource utilization. Proactively uses tools to monitor timeliness and identify timeline risks

Compensation: Salaried

Salary Minimum: 90,000 Salary Maximum: 110,000 Incentive: No
