Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Sr. Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to lead the architecture, integration, and optimization of complex biometric systems for a major federal customer, ensuring reliable performance in support of critical national security missions.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Design, integrate, and sustain cloud-hosted biometric system architectures in support of mission requirements.
  • Define and manage system requirements, interfaces, and technical baselines across biometric software and infrastructure environments.
  • Support deployment, configuration, and maintenance of biometric applications in secure cloud environments.
  • Coordinate with software, cybersecurity, network, and DevOps teams to ensure system performance, availability, and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain system engineering artifacts, including architecture diagrams, interface control documents, and operational workflows.
  • Monitor system health, troubleshoot integration issues, and support root cause analysis for operational incidents.
  • Validate system functionality through test planning, execution, and verification in accordance with program requirements.
  • Ensure systems meet security, accreditation, and compliance standards for military and federal cloud environments.
  • Support scalability, reliability, and continuity planning for mission-critical biometric services.
  • Analyze technical risks, recommend mitigations, and support lifecycle planning for system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with government stakeholders, users, and mission partners to refine operational needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Provide technical support for fielding, training, and sustainment of biometric capabilities across distributed environments.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline
  • 7 years of systems engineering experience
  • Experience with software integration/testing, test plans/scripts, biometric systems, ANSI/NIST ITL, and DoD EBTS
  • Familiarity with DevOps/CI/CD and system-of-systems engineering
  • Will support system architecture, GOTS/COTS integration, technical reviews, RMF/NIST compliance, and configuration control
  • Secret Clearance

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
  • Previous experience with one or more of the following US Army biometric programs: BAT, NRTIO, NXGBCC
  • Previous experience with AWS GovCloud systems and services

An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.
