Reports To: Director of Plant Operations

Position Summary

The Operations Manager has responsibility for the performance, leadership, and strategic direction of plant operations, ensuring achievement of organizational objectives related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Production, Customer Service, and Cost. This role provides leadership across all manufacturing functions and operational support areas to drive operational excellence, continuous improvement, workforce development, and customer satisfaction.

The Operations Manager is responsible for developing and executing operational strategies that improve productivity, efficiency, quality performance, and profitability while maintaining compliance with regulatory and company standards. This position serves as a key member of the Site Leadership Team and partners cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Facilities, Finance, and Human Resources to support business growth, operational scalability, and long-term strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for plantmanufacturingoperations, ensuring achievement of Delivery, Inventory, Production, and Costobjectives.
  • Lead daily manufacturing operations across all shifts to ensure operational efficiency, schedule attainment, customer satisfaction, and workforce engagement.
  • Oversee production planning, inventory management, forecasting, capacity analysis, laborutilization, scheduling, and operational resource allocation.
  • Own improvement ofkeyoperational performance indicators including safety metrics, quality performance, on-time delivery, productivity, cost performance, scrap, yield, and customer service levels.
  • Execute operational strategies and improvement initiatives tooptimizeplant performance and support organizational growthobjectives.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Facilities, Finance, and HR to ensure alignment of operational priorities and businessobjectives.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiativesutilizingLean Manufacturing, structured problem solving, and operational excellence methodologies.
  • Champion a culture of accountability, employee engagement, innovation, safety, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Maintain active involvement in employee selection, leadership development, succession planning, performance management, and organizational capability building.
  • Lead and coach supervisors,leadsandotheroperational leaders to strengthen leadership effectiveness and team performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety standards, quality systems, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures.
  • Drive problem-solving activities related to production, quality, customer complaints, CAPA, non-conformances, and operational performance gaps.
  • Work with the Plant Director to develop and manage operational budgets, capital planning, cost-control initiatives, and resource planning activities.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration and communication to ensure alignment, agility, and responsiveness to customer and business needs.
  • Support workforce flexibility and operational resilience through cross-training and talent development initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related fieldrequiredor equivalent years of experience.
  • Minimum of5–7years of progressive manufacturing or operations leadership experience, including multi-functional plant leadership responsibility.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managingleaders, supervisors, or large operational teams.
  • Experience in regulated manufacturing environmentsis preferred.
  • Proven experienceleadingdeployment and sustainmentofLeanManufacturingsystems, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of production operations, quality systems, supply chain coordination, and manufacturing performance metrics.
