Job Summary:
Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support the United States Air Force by leveraging platform engineering expertise. The role involves operating a secure and highly available cloud platform, working with security and compliance teams, and implementing automated platform solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Help operate a secure, reliable, and highly available cloud, managed hosting, and developer platform.
• Translate business and development team requirements into automated platform solutions.
• Work with a security and compliance team and platform engineers to implement secure infrastructure features, configurations, and automation to create a dynamic platform-as-a-service for development teams.
• Use expertise in AWS cloud, cloud and network security, Containers and Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Use communication skills, work independently while leading others and work across development teams in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 3+ years of experience with DevOps for Containerized and Kubernetes production systems
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD and developer workflow automation
• 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
• 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes Deployment and GitOps tooling
• 3+ years of experience with cloud and network security architecture
• Experience with the DoW/DoD
• Experience with hardened AMIs and Container Images
• Top Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree
• Ability to obtain a DoW 8570 IAT II Certification within 60 days of start date
Preferred:
• Experience with vulnerability management, dynamic or static code analysis, and promoting solutions into higher classification environments
• Experience working with or developing Special Access Programs (SAP) mission workloads
• Experience working with FENCES and Keycloak
• Experience with concepts of Service Meshes such as Istio or AWS App Mesh
• Experience with multiple cloud service providers (CSP)
• Experience with Identity Authentication and Authorization, including Single-Sign-On, SAML, or OpenID
• Experience managing and configuring Ubuntu, RHEL, or Windows Server operating systems
• TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering
• DoW 8570 IAT Level II or Level III Certification
