Responsibilities
Duties
  • Assist in the execution of projects to improve safety and reduce product manufacturing costs.
  • Conduct time studies to define manufacturing cost (labor routings).
  • Develop/maintain/implement process standards and manufacturing documentation (Operational Method Sheets, work instructions, value stream map, etc.).
  • Review Bill of Materials for errors and production consumption variances, determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead 6S organization projects and present results to cross-functional teams.
  • Advocate behavior-based safety in all aspects of plant operations. Identify efforts to improve workplace ergonomics.
  • Participate in daily communication meetings and performance monitoring.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, factory managers, engineers, and production associates.

Qualifications
Requirements
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related Engineering discipline from an ABET accredited program.
  • Solid interpersonal skills. Ability to interview others to collect information.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, solve technical problems, lead small projects, and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent writing, presentation and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical problem-solving skills.

Preferred
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Techniques
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience with SAP, Excel, PowerPoint and CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar)
